ETM transformation

Post by precopster »

A 15 minute video for those of you experiencing ETM woes.

My advice is to get yourself a copy of Vida software and Dice scanning tool and begin scanning your ETM with Potentiometer 1 & 2 Tests through Activations menu in ETM area. First go to Diagnostics tab, then Vehicle Communication, then choose Parameters Tab then double click Throttle Position Sensors 1 & 2 for angle tests.

If you have updated post 2006 software in your ETM you can perform an ETM test as I did here and compare pre and post sensor changes. As you can see in this video it was a very marked and obvious transformation after the new sensor was fitted. Unfortunately not all ETMs respond well to the repair and some need to be refurbished by Volvo (on an exchange basis through most dealers) or through XeModex in Canada.

If you're in Australia I can perform this service for you. Just PM me
