1998 s70 T5 vacuum lines on snorkel , function?

Working on a T5 m56

and I have two open vacuum stalks on the snorkel

One has a short piece of white hard pipe and dives down towards the fuel pressureregulator

The other is open

Can anyone help with functions ??

It looks like one side is an FPR Vacuum and the other is a purge vacuum source

Clearly the open port should connect to the right red chair. This will put you back in the drivers seat.

I have gone down to check on the 'R' as it should be similar if not the same. Problem is that the 'boss' keeps disappearing with it while I am home!

Now remember all those pictures you took while you were taking stuff apart so you wouldn't forget where stuff went...........!

I got my foggy and my luggy mixed up.
