can a 2ohm front speaker setup work with the sc units? Topic is solved

I want to replace the trashy aftermarket Infinity (base model) speakers on the front doors with Skar 6.5 which are 4ohm each. Arent the factory ones 8ohm each to provide 4ohm? Tweeters are Skar 3.5 4ohm. I understand that the FL tweeter is wired with the FL speaker, RL tweeter and speaker, so on so forth. Would the 4ohm tweeter and 4ohm speaker together (2ohm total) make the SC head units unstable? My setup is the sc901 from 01 c70 with 4x50 or 4x75 amp from 98 s70 t5.

Since there are basically no 8 ohm speakers available the options are limited. I had been told by an audio guy that the 2 ohm option should work, even though not ideal, unless you crank up the volume really hard.

Btw., there were various speaker setups in various p80 models, some of them had 4 ohm speakers only. This was the case on some base models with no dash speakers. My 94 T5M came with just 2 4 Ohm speakers in the front doors but nothing else.

thank you. I am going to get the skars then. both of my v70 base and xc had 8ohm tweeters. Dunno about the speakers. BTW Skar does offer an 8ohm option, at least in their FSX model. But im gonna give the 4ohm fsx a try.
