Put a go pro on your head and record everything. Talk your way through each step. Just a thought.

Writing it down is more work on the front end but much less time on the back end than video

One critical addition. When you take off the water pump , note

7 m6x3o bolts with 10 mm hex head

When you know the fastener length , it makes ID of loose stuff simple

You didn't unhook the oil cooler lines from the thermostat - brilliant!

If I did another P80 engine pull I would absolutely switch to a newer oil pan with the biscuit cooler. Those oil cooler lines are a royal PITA.

Instead of bags I use a great big plastic organizer box with like 40 (adjustable size) compartments. Every fastener removed goes in the box, in order from top left to bottom right, with a little piece of tape to label it.

Yeah I thought about switching the cooler / pan, but it seemed like it was going to require a different coolant tree pipe on the back of the engine as well. I didn't feel comfortable fooling with that. And I'd have to go find / pull the parts to do it.
There is so much more I'd like to do, such as forged rods since I'm doing the pistons anyway, but $$$ is an issue, and I have to draw a line somewhere. I'm already in way deeper than I thought. Surprise Surprise !!

Was driving and testing my phone is it any good. Night time sucks slightly but surprised the stabilisation working so well in a phone.

14 min of random Finland country side, nothing else:

Too cool ! :) Thanks for the little relaxing drive and tour.
Have to say that most folks around here would not be able to handle road conditions like that. Snow driving experience pays off, not to mention the difference in drivers license requirements.
And what ever that stabilization is, it works.

Thanks for the video. It's so interesting to see a typical scene from somewhere else in the world. You probably see this all the time, but it's so different from what many others experience. Anyone want to post a silent drive in their typical local desert, forest, farmlands, urban, mountains, coastline, etc?

What brand and model of tires are you using? I'm considering snow tires since my FWD with all season tires was never as good in snow as my AWD Mercedes with all season tires.

Replaced the drivers side B pillar trim, and A pillar plastic retainer on the S70.
Jumped it and took it for a spirited drive to knock off the cob webs, tomorrow it comes into the shop so I can blow out the engine bay from all the leaves.

Front has Nokia Nordman 5 and back has Michelin same style kinda but was not so great shape so put there them there this time. I like my front be under control more even though father said says to put worse in front.
If there would been once guardrail on motorway with +-0C waterish snow where front decided drift suddenly on right at high way speeds i would been right in to it as i originally had all years on this one. But give to them they were old-ish and weared so really cannot blame them fully.

To add with previous car which i started with license came with some Made In Taiwan Winter (i am sorry i totally forgot manufacturer and model of them. Not to blame Taiwanese) tires like these with studs but even they looked okay they were horrible and i replaced them quickly. Almost hit tree with them as just no traction.
