front seat, 1997 850 GLT wagon

Thinking about swapping the driver and passenger seat bottoms in 97 850 GLT wagon, as the driver's foam and leather covering is showing its age (and passenger's looks almost new (just did the same thing with 89 240 wagon and notice big improvement)).

The 850 driver's seat is motorized, but not the passenger. Are the seats otherwise identical? Can the seat backs be separated from the bottoms as on the 240 so as to stay on their proper sides? Saw post about changing out foam - how to make sure the side air bags don't go off? When doing the 240, found that the lower seat frame just un-bolts from the part that runs fore and aft on the tracks (and from the seat back) - is it the same on 850 (allowing for all the electric business under there)?

p.s. when doing the 240, found that backs couldn't separate from bottoms without cutting the heater wires (no apparent disconnects aside from the floor (never worked and don't really care about it, even in New England)) - same story on 850, but obviously a lot of other wiring under there...
