2006 XC90 entertainment audio issue

2006 XC90 entertainment audio issue

I am a happy new owner of a used 2006 Volvo XC90. I have the rear entertainment system with the DVD consoles behind the driver and passenger seat. I am having an issue with the sound not being put out by any speakers. Any suggestions? DVD plays fine. Looks fine, just no sound coming out of any speaker.

On the remote, there is a mute button to the left of the big round button with the arrows on it
