XC70 seats into 2004 V70

Are any XC70 seats a "bolt in" for a '04 V70? What I am thinking is seats from a '07 XC70, but that is not a necessity, they just happen to be available.

2004 V70 and 2007 V70 are both Platform 2 ( P2 ). They will will fit.

V70 P2 2000 - 2007.

You got a 1967 Coronet. ... 383 , 426 or 440 ? My dad had a fifth generation Coronet. It ran like a bat out of hell.

Wasn’t there a change mid 2005 in the V/XC70’s?
Years ago I had sourced newer seats but something prevented me from installing them in one of my 2004’s. I think the floor mounts changed & possibly the connectors on the underside/front. If foggy recollection serves me right I think it was mid 2005.

Yikes! This question is not one to guess on.

Seats are definitely not the same all the way across the P2 range. 00 seats will only fit an 00 (obviously), in addition to the 01-04 isolation.

Skins interchangeable. I would think skins would be why he would want to make a swap.

I recall separating bases from seats. Not 100% sure if you can switch the bases but I think it is a good probability.

The CANBUS speeds changed mid P2 and I think the seats are module controlled on these cars. That doesn’t sound too compatible.

It changed in 2005. That is when the P2 went from what we are calling the CEM-B ( 1999 - 2004 ) to the CEM-L and CEM-H (2005+)

This can be done if one can switch the seat bases. Use the seat base from the 2004. Mount the seats from the 2007 on the seat base from the 2004. That the appears to be the current big question.

Or one could peel the skins off both seats and put the 2007 skins on the 2004 seats.
