This lego set I just got for my son. It's hard to go wrong with Lego. He's 12 and has been building Lego sets since he was four.

I also got him this Star Wars book. Note it's the third of a trilogy. He's read #1, and we're currently listening to #2 (audio book).

Oliver and I agree Timothy Zahn is the best Star Wars author. Star Wars Allegiance is outstanding. I'd read it on my own if I hadn't read it with my son. The Star Wars Bane trilogy is some excellent fun also.

You know what I like about these socks? I put them on my feet and they work.

No batteries, no USB cables, no lost 10mm sockets, no fuel pressure or bad coils to worry about...

No positive crankcase pressure, no vacuum leaks...

No propshaft vibrations at any speed.

I pull two out of my drawer every morning, stick them on my feet, and they work.

These socks are thick cotton, so they're good for winter. They're black, so if you accidentally go to a black tie event at the Kennedy Center, you're good. Playing soccer with your kid in the backyard? They're good for that too.

The only maintenance I suggest you do on these guys is wash them. Because you're already doing that type of thing, I hope, you've got that covered already.

I have these socks on Subscribe and Save, so they show up at my door. You know what that means? It means I don't do sock shopping. None. Zero. You live only once. Do you really want to spend even 1/1000th of one percent of your time on Earth shopping for socks?

Hell no. Buy these and double down on really living.

Not trying to feed my contrarian nature, but the last " bag " of Gold Toe socks I bought suffered catastrophic failure in the heals.
I had good luck with them in the past, but not this time. Now I might be harder on my socks, walking around in them without shoes in the house, but these went south surprisingly fast.

Still looking for GOOD socks. Like maybe Gold Toe & Heal :)

More cool stuff for my son for Christmas. Man, I should buy two each of these because building these things is so much fun.
