Rear cam seals

Greetings,

This is for my 98 S70 GLT. I am in the process of replacing my rear cam seals while I fix other issues with the car. I bought elring seals but have read other posts about them not being good. I noticed the elring & Volvo brand seals are 46mm X 30mm X 7mm. The SKF seal is 47mm X 30mm X 7mm. Wondering what you all have used? Don't want to do this again. Thanks.

I only use Corteco (or blue box Volvo) for cam seals. I have had SKF cam seals leak after only a year of usage, although that was like four years ago. Can't say I know what their product is like today.

Like Erik says. Many of the Volvo seals are Corteco brand in a blue box. Not had any issues with their parts so far!

I’ve used Elrings and Cortecos with fine results. You can also dress the bottom with a really thin film of permeatex aviation sealer to help prevent seep.

$8 for a jar which will do 8128 Volvos
