C30 transmission drain & fill ?!?

It may be worth while to make a blank off plate for the ecu, to create room to reach the dipstick from above. That what I did to recheck the fluid level.

how did you get the dipstick out?
its pulls out about 2cm, but then gets stuck in this wiring bracket.

Remove the torx screw from the cable clip. Than you can remove the wire harness and carefully remove the dipstick. You have to bend it slightly. Best to do this from below with the car on ramps.
Fyi you need to reset the fluid counter with Vida or other scan tools after drain and fill.

why exactly do i need to "Fyi you need to reset the fluid counter with Vida or other scan tools after drain and fill."
plan is to measure exactly what came out and put new in...
what does the counter reset do?

if a must, whats a good cheep vida setup i need to get?

When I did the drain and fill, it shifted not good for a while . Some mentioned it could damage the transmission, not resetting the fluid counter.
I did not have this problem with our P2 Volvo’s.
This Forum has a section discussing Vida software and dice units.
I can double check if iCarsoft scanner can reset the fluid counter.

Resetting the fluid counter lets the tcm know that the transmission fluid has been changed
