Middle Row Center Seat Belt Catch Removal

Post by Oka »

For the middle row center seat:

1. I need to remove the seat belt catch. I went through all the process but the retaining bolt will not pull out; does it have a nut at the other end of it, in the inside? Of course, not the spring. The bolt is completely unscrewed, but it won't pull out; please what's going on?

2. Thought of removing the whole seat to see what's holding the bolt, but saw a connection under the seat I believe is for the center/booster seat. I am sure if I unplug it, I may get "SRS - airbag service urgent" , which I will try to avoid.

Seasons Greetings You All!

The second row seat belt buckles? They are pinned down by the Child seat, Isofix mounting. Best to pull the rear seat cushion.

Compress the front of the seat backwards and up in one movement. Then do the other side.

Thanks for your reply. Never heard of "Isofix mounting", so, I Googled it. Really nice contraption.

The center seat does not seem to be mounted by it, or am not understanding what's holding down the middle seat.
The attached image shows what I have. The bolt is already completely unscrewed but will not pull out. I need to remove the bolt so I can pull out the seat belt catch.
Thanks.
