Hey all, This may sound like some what of a silly question, but, I'm doing some body work on my '93 850 GLT and wanted to know exactly what color it is. I know that there were only a few colors made (first year of production). Mine is the dark burgundy/purpleish metallic finish. I've found a few cans of touch up pain that are close, but they always come out looking slightly pink. Since this time I'm doing the entire passenger side doors I need it to be if no THE color as close as possible.

The color code is on a metal tag near the battery. The color code is the third number down on the right side of the tag.
The format is XXX-XX, the first three numbers are the color code. My guess is that it is 414.
With that code you can go to paintscratch.com and they will match it exactly.
