P2 Airbag Campaign October 2021 Airbag Recall is coming

Yes, all replacement airbags are black only! As far as I know, no P2 car came with black interior option.

My 2004 S60 is black steering wheel.
Hum ... wonder if the skin can be peeled off and transferred.

I I have been fighting illness most of last year and feel awful almost 24/7. June

Thank you! In the event things go south, my uncle gets the S80 he will take good care of her. The same uncle who had the 64 bird. He can have the recall performed if he chooses. It will take all the joy I still get driving her away because it will be in my view and I will obsessively look at it. Which will spark angry feelings toward Volvo every time for hacking my car. It's not like something out of view like the turbo tube with extra ports that don't apply to my car. That was tacky enough, but under the hood out of sight! I know I sound unreasonable about this... If I recover from this I am going to take a road trip! I swear sometimes the cure seems worse than the illness! At least my eyebrows are coming back ! There is always a bright side! June

Oh, the dealer is not even allowed to dye the bag to match! Being as they keep the original, I am not sure how you could get the skin from it to recover the new one.?

The airbag matches the wheel and column. Mine is Oak color matching the oak interior portions. Nothing is black, not even the buttons. In my 04 s80 the areas including the stalks are actually dark Grey almost black. So black will stand out like a broken fingernail! June

I am not sure how you could get the skin from it to recover the new one.?

Get one another one of out of a salvage yard.

Aftermarket dyes can get close but never expect exact. A black base would throw the finial color off some more.
