Downsize Winter Tires? My 2008 S60 has 16" wheels. Can I go to 15"
Our 2008 S60 2.5T FWD has 16" wheels, and 205/55R16 tires. I want to downsize to 15" rims/wheels Steel with hubcaps, and 195/65R15 tires. I know some of the 2001-2006 or so 2.4T came with the 15" wheel, and from what I can tell most of the front suspension components are listed 2001-2009 to be the same when shopping for brakes, struts, etc.

If the brake parts are the same then it should fit. Some models due to performance or image of being sporty are sized accordingly and purposely.mk80634 wrote: ↑01 Jan 2022, 21:28 Our 2008 S60 2.5T FWD has 16" wheels, and 205/55R16 tires. Ended up sticking with the 16" alu wheels from Vision and the 205/55R16 tires, vs. going with 15" wheels with hubcaps and 195/65R15 for the winter tires that would have saved me $300. I was a bit worried about snow and Ice accumulating in the wheel and under the hubcap and causing issues with balance and interfering with the brakes.
