I would like to take a look a Girl V1.0.1 ( Guss is Swedish slang for girl. Borrowed from Turkish kız. ).
Can you pack it in a zip file and attach it or host it someplace and provide a link.

Getting close to a Wired CAN Shield. Just solder on a Teensy 4.0, a OBD cable and attach a USB cable.

Thinking of extending the end of the board and adding some holes so that the OBD cable can be tied down. Strain relief.

As shown the board is 18mm X 46 mm.

Opinions, ideas?

Also working on a second version with a J1962 connector on the end of the board.

Maybe we could swap the solder connection to a female pin header so we can just plug it onto the can shield? Gives the teensy a second life if the cracker is not used.

The way I figure it. If a person can do a bench setup. They can add the termination resistors to their J1962 breakout. I that what I been doing. Then again why not, there is plenty of room to do it. Doing it on the Shield is the ideal location. Use 120ῼ on the Shield. It is up to the user to add the other 120ῼ resistors to the back side of the CEM being cracked.

I was thinking the same thing for this one.

I need to stack the CAN transceivers along the long axis because there is not going to be enough room for the headers, Female or Male. If we had found a supply of Dual CAN transceivers the layout above would not be a problem. 14 pins in one package is a lot shorter the two 8 pin packages. That is why I was wanting to go with Dual CAN, saves space and simpler artwork.

Also with Female headers I can place everything on the top side between the headers. The back side will be flat. Clearly would want to use a Female header tall enough to accommodate a full length male header.

Better? Any other opinions, ideas?
I found some Shunts on JCSC for the jumpers but I cannot find a way to get them into the BOM.

Cost quote for JLCPB Assembled $8.19 + Shipping.
Lowest shipping cost for me is $10.98. 2 - 3 weeks.
8.19 + 10.98 = $19.17 for me.

Let me know what you think. I am ready to order one and check it out before I move it from private development to Open source so anybody can click and order one.
