Hy everyone,
I need your help on an issue. To continue to expend my knowledge on mechanic, i started to repair a 125 cc scooter. I search the temperature gauge but PEUGEOT doesn't produces this part anymore. The difficulty is to find a probe with a thread pitch of 8 millimeters
So, here are the differents things about the part I'm looking for. May be someone here will be able to guide me to the part or similar.
1000 thanks.
Manov

If this is helpful, do you mean thread diameter instead of pitch? That will change your question and maybe solve the problem.

Manov, see if you can find the operating parameters for this sensor. Are you sure it is a temperature sensor ?
What does it do, feed a gauge or a light?
Sorry, by “ feed” I mean does the sensor send a signal to a gauge or to an over heat light?

Salut Abscate,
Here, some pictures, more simple than long explanation. Apparently, the major diameter should be NPT 1/16" (8mm)
May be i could use an adapter NPT 1/16" to screw on the head of the engine, and find a sensor with a 1/8" NPT sensor (more easy to find)...

The adapter to 1/8 NPT sounds like a good plan.

A temperature gauge. So it will vary resistance with temperature. Try to measure it. Cold and with hot water to see what the temp is.
You can probably find a sensor that will work then just get a thread combination that fits
