The only system which I've found listed as "beyond the scope of this manual" in Haynes is the air conditioning system. I think some transmission internals are also skipped. And yet, they have a full engine removal and tear down chapter.
Before doing any job, I'd review the Haynes and search MVS for additional pictures, tips, and explanation. I find that the procedures on MVS are sometimes identical to Haynes. One down side of the Haynes is you sometimes have to jump around the book when sections refer to other sections and to the torque specs. For my timing belt and coolant pump replacement, I typed an outline of the procedure referring to the Haynes chapter/section/step numbers and supplementing with tips from MVS. It started with each disassembly step then continued with each assembly step. I attached it to this post to show my method.
