NGK Iridium was what started this :-). When a web page mentioned the NGK® 95159 - HX™ Ruthenium Spark Plug. And my first thought was "here we go again." Like in the days of split tips, V grooves, multi electrode - Side gaps. When, like many say, plain old copper works fine. It did for me in my turbo red blocks. But that was last century...

Periodically, the spark plug guys go to the table and say “ what new metal can we put onto our spark plugs to justify a $20 price point over $2 plugs?

Copper, tungsten, platinum, iridium, ruthenium…

3 minutes if life required

I’ve run both Champions and Bosch and they are fine. When I feel rich having foreclosed On an otphamsge, I buy a set of Volvoplugs for the car and then FreeCP them for life

And finally - what is the number for Champion copper and NGK copper? I found Ch - RC8P cross referenced to 337. or maybe 71C2. And for NGK Copper, 6364 (Gap .36)or 6962 (Gap .032)
And for plats, NGK 7092 (cap .040)
with recommended gap of .028.
