Hello to all,
A marvelous forum you have and very helpful.
Bought a 2009 S80 2.5 T a month ago.
Key fob stopped working a few day ago , replaced battery with no success.
I got water in the passenger footwell , and once even sow water coming from the roof top light...
Is there a receiver for the key fob remote located in that area? Can the receiver be the reason for the remote not to work?
Appreciate your kind assistance.

Key fob not working
Problem solved!!
Seems like Volvo cars have ghosts inside..... not kidding !
Took out the CEM fuse (10amp - number 20 in the engine compartment) for 15 minutes and the key fob came back to life again.
I remember I gave the same advice to my friend with 2007 xc70 with some immobilizer messages and it work for him as well.
So next time , any weird phenomenon that an electronic device/sensor suddenly stops to work .... try this method.
(maybe water that run inside the roof top caused a short circuit and CEM disabled it ..)
