1994 850 EU Timing belt and belt pulley tensioner, parts/ chassis break help

Post by xnRS »

I'm planning on changing my timing belt, pulley and pulley tensioner

I found out that there was 2 belts, with later one 6 teeth shorter and 3 tensioner designs.

Also my engine is probably from early S/V70(B5254T), and it uses old early tensioner design(INA 530 0044 30 Kit).

Can I put 3rd, latest, design tensioner from B5254T2 instead of older one ? And will be there any problems with 6 teeth shorter timing belt ?

p.s I can older design parts, but i'm afraid that older parts will discontinue soon, as INA kit is already out of production, and i couldn't find Conti-tech kits. so i'll need to build my own kit, also older tensioner is more expensive than the newer one.
