Starter rear support bracket missing.

The Bendix failed on my starter, so I replaced it today. When I got in there, I found out the starter had been replaced before and there was no rear support bracket for the starter. Do I need one?

No, there was a later TSB that actually supported removal and discard on the P2 models.

Technically, it wasn’t “ backwards looking” but it’s the same engine and starter

Much thanks - I was not looking forward to pulling the new starter just to install the bracket.. Or a trip to the parts yard to pull one...
