Volvo markings on suspension pats XC70

Post by Jokerz »

Hello!
I am trying to find suspension parts for my 2009 XC70. I got the FOUR C system and looking in VIDA parts catalog there are more variants of shock absorbers and springs. There are identificators like MARK 20, MARK 39. How can i know what mark of suspension i have? My shocks dont have the stickers or any other markings anymore. Dont want to buy the wrong shocks or springs

Vida shows "For markings see vehicle details" but they dont work on my VIDA version :

If you want to be absolutely sure, phone any Volvo dealer and provide them your vehicle VIN, and they will tell you which part is for your car.

I still don't understand why Volvo have so many spring choices for a relatively small number of cars made. Also, I suggest that you compare (measure the height and thickness of spring coil) between the new and the old springs before installing the new springs for added certainty.
