Air Guide bolts 985743

I’m perpetually losing these screws so I wanted to document their size and possible substitutes

Hm, I thought the bolts looked similar but were regular threaded bolts not thread cutting screws like that. Senility does not come alone....!

Yes. They are flange bolts but have sheet metal threads , not machine threads

Thanks.... now I just need an air guide. I suspect my car had some collision damage at some point, and apparently the airguide was not re-installed.

I've found one fender is missing a bolt, and body color paint on the seal near the cowl. The AC condenser is slightly bowed in, as well.

You mentioned losing the screws.... they're back out due to vibration?

Another triumph of the P2 platform, where they have regular machine threads. I bought a bagful from McMaster-Carr for those cars. Haven't tried to source for P80 cars I just have been getting by with random sheet metal bolts. But if I need them we have this now ...
