2004 XC 90 Park Brake Adjustment

Does anyone have any information on how to adjust the park brake on this year/ model? It seems that the '04 has a unique adjustment that is different from the cable sleeve of subsequent models. I believe that the '04 has its adjustment in the actual foot brake pedal. Can anyone confirm this and or provide some VIDA instructions on how to perform this adjustment? The park brake shoes are in good shape in the drums so I think all thats needed is a cable adjustment. Thank You.

I see a pedal reel adjustment for a 2003 in VIDA, looks like nearly as much trouble as doing the sleeve. One option might be to replace the H-link on the emergency brake with an adjustable link. I did this on my Ocean Race a year or so back, have the parts to do the Sport next time I'm in.

Here's what's needed:
Qty2- 30793437 Adjuster
Qty2- 30793438 Claw
Qty1- 31445339 Spring Kit

Looks like there's also a full aftermarket kit available (Duralast 17438)

Instructions are around, here's one example- https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/hand ... is.233576/ , it's easier in my opinion to go this route rather than jerking around with the sleeve or pedal adjustment (I know how to do the sleeve pretty well by now but it's still a PITA).

Thanks, It looks like the '04 is unlike any other year. I believe but would like to confirm that there is provisions for adjustment in the pedal mechanism. As far as I can determine, there is no sleeve adjustment in the Bottom of the console in 2004.

The Parking Brake info is in the DIY I wrote for my 2005 XC90...
