I got magnetic ones as well. As most of us, I was trying out many different designs over the years. This one is awesome, no more fumbling with side grippers and it sticks to any surface. I bought one for each of our cars.

I am using a Panavise mount, PN 75139-105. This is an older image, from when I was using a plate to swap out different phone holders, etc. Now I have a Panavise 767-GR2 17mm ball mount plate on there, and then I attach either my Garmin directly to it, or use a Wix Gear magnetic phone mount with a metal plate slipped inside my phone case https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08193ZSBF
