Does it sound if the key is in any position and drivers door is opened?
Once again the car was left a day with the key in (position 2) so I discovered a flat battery when about to leave for work at 2am
My jumper pack is close at hand as this has happened before and I don’t want to wake the last driver or a house of children to take me in her car - which has a chime and has never been left on to drain the battery …
I’m wanting to activate this function and I imagine most who have it want it gone.
Looking over the wiring diagram I can only speculate it comes from the CEM
