The silicone grease is probably fine. I would only apply it where there is/was factory grease, however. Moving parts in electronics do get grease, but cleaning off any old dried original grease may be complicated if not disassembled... which might be more than the OP is up for.foggydogg wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 08:43 Were the o-rings loose inside the CD changer ? I would be careful with any type of grease, it could get places you don't intend. If lubrication seems to be needed, my suggestion would be some silicone spray on a cotton swab; you can be much more precise with placement and quantity of the lube.
