Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Yeah, too cold for me! Here I am complaining that the high today will only be 59 F instead of the high 60s we've had!

There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity!
If it wasn't for friends who are not car repair smart, I will always try to help out if I can. Even if it means going out in poor weather. It is very seldom now that our Pick and Pull junkyards have an everything sale. They used to have regular 50% everything sale but can't recall when the last one was. They always seem to hold them in the winter here which maybe is a planned thing as way fewer people go out to the yards!
We seldom get any P80's in the yards and very seldom AWD or 99-00 years strangely. Seeing many more of the P2's in there of recent times. So when you get a sale on and any P80's you have to go! Biggest problem is we now have so many people who are now doing this as a business so if you don't get there early on the day a car appears, it is mostly stripped of anything of value.
Sure I pull parts I don't need but for the most part I pass them on to those who can't afford new parts especially some of the crazy priced parts. Also I know many parts that are NLA from Volvo and may not be on the pro picker's lists due to lack of knowledge. I have a lot of those parts for our Volvo enthusiasts stashed for when they need them. I don't normally charge more than they cost me plus a couple of dollars to cover fuel and time. sometimes not even that. I like to help the enthusiasts where I can! Visits to PnP is almost free therapy for me!
Neil.

LKQ used to do 40% off sales, but they haven't had one in some time now. Usually for holiday weekends. There was supposed to be one on black Friday 2020, but they ended up canceling it, which I found out as I walked onto the yard. That was the last one I remember.

I’m 2013 I spent 2 hours of hades drilling out the hard 6mm hex head bolt holding in the AC headlines behind the right headlight.
In 2022, I grabbed my extractor socket and snarked that sucker off in 5 seconds.
Kudos to wizechatmgr!!

It’s a sickness.
Up at 0500, look down at the driveway at the project car.
“ you have seen your last sunrise, exhaust down pipe bolts”
MrGrinder and Dr Dremel are resting comfortably in their beds, soon to be at work

Congratulations To you and your Hockey team, Xyna!
Burned off the exhaust bolts and have the engine and M56 loose to pull out. Used a special blind corner a Dremel disk
Ran out of time looking for all the shrubbery puller engine picker parts, have to roll to Long Island tomorrow to beat the snow
Spotted an S70 in a nice blue…colour code 441 Blue?
