Continuing the saga on the AWD
Rear toe in is set by ambushinga bushing and eccentric washer , with a long through bolt with a groove to set up the toe. Of course, the long bolt is now NLA
Im going to figure out the bolt size, thread, and length and have a slot machined in
Anyone else interested in some spares? I’ll run a batch of these.
Note,,,the later bolt used on XC70 and XC90 is too short and won’t work here

What is your strategy for ambushing the washer? Is that how an alignment shop would do it...??

Here are the details in the adjuster. This is not going to be easy to make.
You have to put a hex boss inside the cap head on an M12 bolt in 10.9 steel
One obvious solution is tack weld the adjuster washer to the head

Or I pull you a couple from my stash! I have a couple of spare sets. One I will keep. Let me know. Check what other stuff you need and I can keep chucking stuff in a box if I have them spare!
The rear parking brake back plates are NLA, so suggest you get the feelers out for those. Might be worth trying to find southern or west coast cars where salt is seldom used, same with the rear subframe. They need to cut them to remove them on the caliper side otherwise the rear hub has to be pulled to remove/fit them. If they are cut, then bend them around the hub to fit and then a coupe of tack welds on the cut to repair.
Neil.

Don't put the washer in the dryer, you don't want those to shrink!abscate wrote: 09 Feb 2022, 12:19 Nyuck Nyuck Nycuck

Maybe it is just the angles in the picture, but are the bolts the same diameter?

I 'm about to have those axle bars changed and then adjust toe, and while bars are already on the shelf, still cant manage to find the bolts. Any idea you have this ordered from? It's a '99 V70XC just about to getting a little back to factory condition.
