P80 FWD front wheel bearing tip 274378 (-1998) 272456 (1999-2000)

Did a front wheel bearing job today and the bolts E12 would not budge even with a 500 Ftlb impact. I went to oclxyMap and they still wouldn’t budge.

My partner in crime suggested I heat the bolts On the outboard side, and that worked !

Upshot. All of the holding power of the bolts is in the last 10 threads so you need to heat the backside of the bolts to free them up

Wow, are these being removed for the first time? On my truck, I use anti-seize so I don't have to fight with them next time.

I’m going to guess these were ORiginal. They were off Sonic.s 1998, had been transplanted to Grunhilde, amd got growly on us this week. Managed to get bearing done in 3 hours, in driveway. Sun came out and nicely cooked me in 35F weather.

Left front bearing. Everything in the front came apart nicely due to antiseize.
