P80 AWD rear brake line bulkhead detail

Post by abscate »

Standard brake line, but hard to make up. The lines come in port side, in a pair, then split at the port side torsion arm control attachpoint.

The line has to take a 90 degree turn out, then dive down a bout a cm , the turn back straight to meet the rear flare. It’s always hard to form small turns like that

The Volvo diagram doesn’t show it Justice, corrected below

I think I would tackle this again by dropping the torsion arm, forming the small bends on straight brake line, then making the big bends to fit. Once you have straight line heading forward, you can make the smaller bends to fit to the car easily underneath, no complex bending there.

There is a great place for a union as the line heads up the body member
