I think I have at least one tie rod end I can donate , and maybe a lower control arm that’s decent. Jane Bonds LCA aren’t bad but I need replacements to tow it away.

Thanks for the offer. I don't like to reuse parts which wear. After all the labor to install them, they'll fail sooner than new parts. I'll have to check my records for the age of the parts on Jane Bond. The tie rod ends were surely replaced but I don't think I ever replaced the LCAs.
There are a handful of other parts which Geronimo could really use. Something critical might surface in the thread about its ABS problems.

Geronimo has a leaking power steering rack. I'm disheartened by this because it's an expensive part and an intense replacement job. I've heard people say that rebuilt racks are a gamble and could leak. $1000 for a Volvo rack is too much but maybe the owner could spend $330 for a Maval brand rack from FCP. Can anyone recommend a good rack brand?
Is it reasonable to pull a rack from a junkyard where cars are stored on their wheels (not smashed down in the mud)? Could I proactively replace its seals on the bench? Is there a way to tell if the junkyard rack was replaced so it's newer?

I believe I have a spare rack I can donate , one that a customer stuck me with. Rebuilt in Michigan, I’ll check for tie rod ends. Anything between $0-150 appreciated on that one.
By end of February , I’ll have Jane Bonds off , too.

I just got a nice set of Cetus wheels for Geronimo and had its all-season tires mounted. The owner can leave the awesome Nokian studded snow tires on the original, beat up Antlia wheels. That will save $100 twice a year to swap tires on wheels, allowing that money to go toward improving the car.
When I started working on the car, the original Antlia wheel mating surfaces were terribly rusty from rusty wheel hubs (I spent hours cleaning those hubs). Thankfully the tire shop cleaned them up before mounting the Nokians (they probably had to in order to put them on the balancer). Still, the mating surface of one wheel was not level, allowing me to rock the wheel if not fully tightened. I'm glad to have these Cetus wheels since the seller pointed out that he had cleaned the mating surfaces. I'll install them in a few days and hope they fit well.
I'm proactively in the market for spare Cetus center caps. Though I have four for this set, I fear some will fall off.
Next up:
See what the mechanic did to the "ball joint" to let the car pass inspection (probably replaced a tie rod end).
See if the mechanic stopped the power steering rack by patching a hard line (the rack is still terribly rusted).
Run a VIDA scan on the system to diagnose the codes and monitor wheel speed re: ABS triggering.
Change the oil, spark plugs, timing belt, coolant pump, accessory belt.
Check suspension for play which would cause uneven wear to tires.

Are the center caps a plastic dish type thing. Can't recall but I may have a set I can donate. I'll check this afternoon and let you know.
The caps I had were from a set of wheels that went with a 93 830 I sold. The only thing is they were 4 stud wheels. I think they swapped 850's to 5 stud in 94 or was it 95? The wheels look the same but not sure if how the caps fit is the same. Looking at 4 and 5 bolt wheels I think they are different. I think the 4 bolt have 4 lugs to clip them in and the 5 bolt 5 lugs.
Neil.

off topic: who designes the cetus wheels? they are roundish, would fit a mazda 323f or a ford contour/mondeo. but a boxy 850?

In Europe around the early 90's that style of wheel was fairly common. I had something similar fitted to my Vauxhall Carlton 3000 GSi as aftermarket wheels to replace the horrid OE wheels: This is what the car looked like, but not the wheels. They were a 6 spoke rounded spoke wheel like the Cetus:
