This photo just freaked my brain out because I expected a 900-series badge... I'm conditioned to see that there.

So kewl, maybe the heater was better and it came with a swanky down jacket? I had read on Wikipedia that the 940’s for Italy were different for regulatory reasons.

Maybe a down jacket with a Volvo logo? Not a bad idea.

I believe the Italian market cars always had smaller displacement engines, below 2.0 Liters. The reason is that engines over 2.0 were taxed much higher. Not sure if that was the case with the Polars though.
