Now I like the 960 as a vehicle but this one? The inside looks like a dumpster, it is not road worthy , been off the road for over 2 years and the owner states you should put it on a trailer to remove it as not safe to drive. The car also has a bent hood which looks like the hood hinges have seized and one of he front sidelights is broken.

This is a sub-$1000 car at best and that is Canadian $ not US ($70US) is still too much.

Oh, and this is not the first time they have tried to sell this piece of junk.

If you paid $3500 CDN for this and then put in around $2000 at least to bring it to a half decent state, here due to the age you have to then put it through an insurance safety test (around $200 more). And that assumes there are no other major issues like a head gasket which is not uncommon on this engine.

Yeah, this guy is asking way too much for that car. Definitely sub-$1000.

- clean the IAC once ($5); or replace the ETM once ($150)
- flash the ECU (M4.4) whenever needed for O2 sensors, SAS, tune if you're ambitious, etc; or just be happy with the ME7 the car was dealt
- for troubleshooting the engine everything swaps with 850s; or you try to figure out what you actually have then scour the junkyards for 99-00 parts

... kind of an easy choice :P

Yup!

The coils are easy, they either work or they don't. The older ignition system has too many components to fail.

Then there's the throttle cable that gets all crusty over time, and you have to go through the effort of lubricating that and adjusting it until it's just too stretched to offer a good pedal feel.

My Welsh friend once schooled me on the subtle differences between tosser, plonker, and wanker.

Apologies to the UK for the ‘ salty ‘ language.

Wow, that's expensive for a P2 V70! Specifically for a base NA auto. It's super clean though.

That S70 is a cool color, fairly uncommon. I'd buy it simply for the mileage.
