No ignition V50, I've killed it

Post by JB50 »

So my wife suddenly got "antiskid service required", "power steering service required", "brake failure stop immediately" etc in our V50. We have only had the car 3 weeks and I had started to really like it.

She drove the car home. I also had those messages flash up a couple of days ago and then disappear, so after googling, assumed the first place to look would be the CEM. Before looking at this I disconnected the battery and then unplugged and cleaned the 3 plugs in the footwell below the CEM. I thought if I had poor connections I would refresh them all. I then reconnected the battery to see if this had changed anything. I did not expect the change I got. I now had nothing. The key fob locks and unlocks the car but that is about it. Turning the key in the ignition does nothing, No ignition lights, no stereo, no windows etc etc.

Over the course of the day I have kept returning to the car and unplugged and replugged those connectors, wobbled everything, but nothing.

Is it time to start selling the car in parts?
