My grip slipped and I had the passenger side wiper arm smack the windshield full force with no blade on it. I now drive around with a spider crack like a scarlett letter of shame.

Right? That's what I was thinking!
That is a very dangerous idea for a guy who has 10 acres of vacant land in the country.

So that is what the previous Electrician owner of my house did with the 40A cable to our kitchen range. Twisted the wires only (no knot!) and wrapped with electrical tape....................Lucas repair!! Didn't recall reading about that one in the electrical standards!

I would be VERY dangerous with that amount of land! One day I plan to buy a nice big plot of land in the country and build a nice shop and have room for my own personal junkyard. Maybe some trails to play around on with some ATVs and junk cars  .

Got the heater core installed. Good engineering!

Replaced the rear shocks. Sheared off one nut-- apparently Godzilla put it on with an atomic impact wrench last time. So now I have to figure out "what next". I'm thinking, drill out the old stud, replace with hardened steel M14 bolt, along with some sort of bushing to account for the tapered hole. I may need to fabricate the bushing on my lathe. Not happy. NOT happy.

A reminder that everyone should own the Irwin 394001 and Irwin 394002 bolt extractor sets. Most recently, I stripped the external torx bolt holding on the front wheel hub. No extractor could grab the mangled, fragile head. I used the largest extractor to reach over the head and grab the circular flanged base. Worked like a champ with that tightly torqued bolt. They haven't failed me yet.
