ABS sensor connector

Post by davep84 »

Hi Everyone,
My 98 V70 GLT has the wires ripped out of the connector on the front ABS wheel speed sensors. Is there a connector or pigtail that I can purchase to repair it? I tried female bullet connectors from the local parts store but they don't seem to fit correctly.

Thanks in advance!
Dave

I don't know, but you could try a junkyard for a "new" connector.

If you mean the connectors in the sensor itself, I would replace the part. If it's the portion in the harness pigtail, a junkyarding you should go.
Even an iffy electrical connection down there will spook the ABS module - among other things.

The ABS wiring has a resistance value range they can operate within. If you add items into the wiring it likely will take it out with these values. Replace the part with new or used as suggested above.

Thanks guys. I'll check the salvage yards. These pigtails are no longer available new unfortunately.

The cables are still out there but getting harder to find. It is an ATE branded part:

https://web.tecalliance.net/ate/en/home ... Country=de

This allows you to look up the ATE part number so it should help to find the OEM part. Most I found were in Europe.
