When you send oil back to FCP...
... do you use USPS? They don't allow liquids, so do you play dumb? How do you package up your oil? Do you send it back in the 4-quart jugs?

We joke about it a lot here, but this is actually a thing? Sending back used oil? That's a wear part, designed to wear out, how is it they take it back? That's like sending them spark plugs with 200k on them and saying, "these broke." Brake pads worn down to the metal. 5 year old t-shirts.

I recommend having your spouse take a killer job at big bucks near FCP so you can go visit her, drop your stuff off on your commute down to perform your marital duties.
It’s for real folks. They take back oil, oil filters, brake pads , spark plugs replaced on the maintenance interval that are still good, it’s all good.

I truly appreciate a company that will take back broken, faulty, badly designed, wrong color, incorrectly shipped, worn out under warranty - that is commendable. I don't understand the business model of a grocery store that credits you back for the banana peel after you've eaten the banana.

And don't even begin to think about the actual banana.BlackBart wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 11:43 I truly appreciate a company that will take back broken, faulty, badly designed, wrong color, incorrectly shipped, worn out under warranty - that is commendable. It’s all about driving volume. FCP has this down really well. Volume let’s you squeeze the wholesaler to the last penny.
Remember it’s not cash, it’s store credit. That takes a bite out of the apple. It’s tied to VIN so you cannot trade in bad parts for new Willy nilly.
I once figured out about a5% premium on price pays for a program like this. In essence the rest of the customers just buying parts pay that delta for those who fully partake of its breadth.

That’s all logical. So people need to weigh the cost of shipping liquids vs the credit.
Or they could just ship to upstate NY(?)
