Tried to blow down the hose while the fluid was still dripping out, I was too keen to see if it was just the hose. Will wait till I’ve wiped it down next time…

Nasty stuff. Rinse your mouth out with beer, quickly. About 200 ml will kill you, so you don’t want it in your systemStu70 wrote: 23 Apr 2022, 23:25 Tried to blow down the hose while the fluid was still dripping out, I was too keen to see if it was just the hose. Good to know. I try not to get anything in my mouth when working on my car, especially antifreeze. I didn't know that about brake fluid.abscate wrote: 24 Apr 2022, 04:03 Nasty stuff. Rinse your mouth out with beer, quickly. About 200 ml will kill you, so you don’t want it in your system
As a recovering alcoholic, can I use something other than beer? (Assuming I get brake fluid or anything else in my mouth that shouldn't be consumed.)

Lots and lots of water.
You won’t ingest too much In your mouth from suction, so it will rinse out quickly. The medical treatment Is actually “ get drunk” as thst inhibits the breakdown of the glycol ether into really toxic stuff that does the damage.
There aren’t too many car fluids that are good for you to ingest, brake fluid is probably the worst. Ok, maybe battery acid

Luckily ‘I didn’t inhale’ , I just blew through the tube , being blocked though it just oozed out towards me. I probably ingested less than a milliliter. The dry dirt and crusty road debris on the hose, probably soaked up more.
I was in the moment and didn’t really think, I used the air compressor to prove the blockage and and preformed a necropsy (sic) to find the collapse - which lay within the first 5mm of the rubber.

I cleared my headlights.. took a spray bottle of water, started with 400 grit, then 1000 grit then 2000 grit, then wiped down with megueirs headlight restorer. Dried the lights off and applied a smooth coat of penatrol with a paper towel.. perfect. MDK

Hit 250K the other day. Still chugging along.
Anyone have the part number for the rear license plate bracket? Mine is semi corroded and the plate bangs against the hatch whenever I slam the trunk
