2004 V70 2.5T
Got the Transmission Service Required w/ several BANG shifts.
P0768 - Shift Solenoid D Elect
TCM-0108 Shift Solenoid S4 Signal Missing.
I'm guessing the Solenoid D and S4 are the same and a wire has lost connection.
Can anyone point me to the connector on the transmission or the wiring harness that contains this wire, and it's color code?
Or is there a wiring diagram w/ connector photo available somewhere?
Thanks in advance

All wirings are in Volvo EWD (Electronic Wiring Diagrams). Electronic blocks pinouts are in VIDA.
Unless the transmission saw some surgery related to the valve body and the S4 plug was not properly seated, I think the S4 solenoid itself is cooked. It happens.

There was also a transmission software update for P2's where the warnings messages were over sensitive.
However, with yours I do not think that is the issue. Have you done a drain and flush on the transmission oil recently?
Neil.

Hmm, yes, this happens too: remove the valve body plug and spray both ends liberally with electric contacts cleaner, click it back. Happened to me during transmission transplant: I haven't clicked it all the way in, multiple errors bubbled up.

So removal of the airbox revealed a rodent nest and a chewed red/white wire. The wire controlling the solenoid. Photo is after I cut out the chew toy and the repair in progress. Soldered it. OBD tool and test drive show the solenoid working.
Now researching if I have to reset the "transmission service required" or if it will go away after a couple drive cycles.
Appreciate the feedback.
