DonnVa, that's a beautiful XC. I keep seeing pictures of station wagons everywhere, and it makes me want to trade my S60 for either an XC or an 850 wagon...in yellow.

Those 850’s in yellow were a favorite of mine. I never found one or one never found me. Lol I finished all my projects on my S60. Nothing is broken. My girlfriend has a German Shepard and he’s my buddy too. I can’t haul him around in the S60, so I’ve been keeping my eye out for a V70 or XC70 w/ a 2.5T since I’m very familiar with it. This XC showed up on Craigslist the other day and I jumped on it. Guy I bought it from is a wholesaler. He got it from Carmax who took it in on trade. I paid $2700 and I believe I got a hell of a vehicle for that price. I love the color and it came with an aftermarket Sony CarPlay stereo. It even still had one of those quilted dog protectors folded up in the back. I think it was meant for me.

It sounds like it. Very nice find, and a decent price.

I don't think I've actually seen a yellow Volvo in person, but I've seen enough pictures of them, especially the 850, that it really makes me want one.

I still have the suspension left to do on my S60, and a few things in the interior to fix (like the delaminated door panels), plus that peaky off track sun shade thingy that closes over the sunroof on the inside. I also have a cracked windshield, a few minor dings to straighten out in my right fender, and the clear coat is peeling off, but I'll get to it all when I'm able to. I'm a Volvo fan for life. The S60 is my first, but it won't be my last (unless I can keep this one running, and in pristine condition, until I get too old to drive).

Same color as our son's 06 XC70 in Lava Gray. I wasn't sure about the color when we first got is for my wife 11 years ago with 55,000 miles on it from the local Volvo dealer. It now has just double that mileage around 110,000 miles. Only real disappointment I had (and my wife at a fraction of my size and weight) is that the front seats are terrible for long runs compared to a P80. Otherwise it has been a good car although not cheap to maintain.

I've heard a couple of people say they wouldn't give up the comfort of their p80 seat. What makes them so special? The seats in my S60 are very comfortable. Am I missing out on even more comfort?

The seats are really comfortable in my 05 XC, more so than my 07 S60. That could have something to do with the previous owners though.. 😂 I do remember that the seats in my 850 were very comfortable as well. A friend of mine bought it from me and he said it was his favorite thing about it.

It’s an incremental thing as all Volvo seats are pretty awesome but of all the cars I’ve driven in my life. The p80 seat is the best. Even at >60 and carrying too much weight, I can drive 6 hours and get out and still feel like I haven’t been in a car

When I get into a car now, if the seat feels plush, I know in 2 hours I will feel stiff. If it feels slightly uncomfortable firm like the P80….it will be perfect

Installed a new set of Bosch coils. The car still had 3 original factory installed coils. With number 5 misfiring after already changing the plugs I figured it was time to change them out.

Driver's seat SIPS replacement this weekend, hopefully. Then I can get ahold of a Volvo dealership and have my steering wheel airbag replaced under the recall.

Why? What happened? A crash or it just clicks annoyingly?
