I’m working on the PCV and coolant system today on the XC70. I have no documentation of the PCV being done even though it passes the glove test. I’m also changing the thermostat, flushing and putting in Volvo coolant. The coolant in the car looked like a mixture of orange with some green. I’ve got a few other projects for it this week as I’m on a “me” vacation. Also, much appreciation to FCP!! I ordered this past Monday w/ a 1 business delay in shipping b/c the oil trap wasn’t in stock. The whole order did not ship until Friday and I got it this morning. Amazing
Thank you and I didn’t even call them to request any special treatment. Not to leave IPD out, I have their loaded Sachs struts coming tomorrow. I ordered several weeks ago and they put together a batch last weekend, so thank you IPD. You all are making my stay-cation fun.

That's a tall glass of water lol.
The PCV system isn't too hard to do once the intake is off. I think there's a writeup on the forum somewhere, but I don't remember what I went off of when I did mine. One thing I did, since the intake was off, was to clean it up really well, and replaced the fuel injector o-rings.
The alternator pulley I've never changed, so I'm not sure if the alternator needs to be removed from the car to swap it or if it can be done with it still bolted in place.

Make sure you get the thread handedness correct, too.

Also check your injector electrical plugs. They tend to get brittle, and the clip that holds them on break off. Here's my write-up on how to replace them, if needed.

Taking a little break. Alternator pulley already on the alternator. I’ve done a couple of those. It gets easier once you remember righty loosey, lefty tighty. I stripped out the first one I ever did.
This is the second PCV job I’ve done, so I’m just taking it slow and being methodical. I’ve got the thermostat housing, power steering pump and alternator off the car, so everything is easy access. One note. The banjo bolt on this car was real loose and the old style. I backed it out with my fingers. Yikes..

I'll keep that in mind if I ever need to change my pulley. I didn't know it used a left hand thread attachment.

Everything’s back together and it runs great. I got it up to temp with the 1st flush w/ water. I’m going to finish the cooling system tomorrow.

Finished flushing the XC and installed my IPD Sachs quick struts. The front looks like I should go 4 wheel’n, it’s sitting so high w/ those new IPD springs. Lol So, I’ve busted a Volvo plastic radiator drain plug for the second time. You’d think I’d learn. I made a quick trip to my local pick a part. Note - if your in Richmond, VA don’t go looking for a drain plug anytime soon. I took all of them.. Anticipating that I’ll be stupid again, my inventory sits at 3 with one in the car.

Do they sell just the plug itself? I have an aftermarket (TYC) radiator and I'm always way over-cautious when removing that plug because I thought it wasn't a part you could purchase. Mind sharing a part number?
