New Purchase of a 91 240 Wagon, 5 speed. what is the Volvo Flygmotoh canister for

Hello fellow Volvo owners. I have a recent purchase of a 91 240 Wagon with 211K on it for my daughter to use as a daily driver and I have a question about a chrome canister. It says on the blue label its a VFA Heather (correct spelling) and below that it gives a serial number of B133, Fuel type Gasoline and then in big bold letters VOLVO FLYGMOTOH. I tried to google this part but no such luck. Does anyone know what this canister is for?

Now "FLYGMOTOR" is Aircraft Engine in Swedish, so I think you have a rare and special car.

Wild guess: Gasoline fueled auxiliary engine heater. Hints are: Marked for gasoline. Electric wire for ignition. Hoses to water system.

Well, this car was delivered and spent time in Alaska so the engine heater makes a lot of sense. Growing up in Canada we had an electrical cord sticking out of the grill to plug it in during the cold winters. This appears to be a more refined process.

If you look at the bottom you will see an exhaust pipe. What looks like an air intake on the side.
It has all the characteristics of a fuel fired auxiliary heater.
Pre-heater for them freaking cold winter days when fuel drops out of the intake mixture upon contact with the cylinder walls?

In 1941 Volvo acquired Svenska Flygmotor AB from Sabb. Later renamed it to Volvo Aero.
GKN bought out Volvo Aero in 2011 and renamed it GKN Aerospace Engine Systems.

Oil field equipment uses a couple brands of Diesel fuel heaters for engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. Can preheat your fuel tank also.
