Cruising at 50 mph, sudde gulp , and CEL on

Pulled over and checked code, P0237

I drove home about 35 miles. With code cleared, no gulps. About 10 miles from home, gulp CEL

once CEL is back, gulps return every 20-15 minutes under boost demand.

ECM-1600 is intermittent failure of signal to boost pressure sensor

Vida reports once this code sets turbo boost control is open loop. Hopefully that explains the gulps of power


Will inspect wiring and possibly sensor and report back

Inspected MAP pressure sensor. Slight corrosion on terminals replaced with spare

Problem resolved , pending pribabtion of 2x month/1000 mile test

Cleanest fault…code…part…solution I’ve had a a while!
