Hi!
I am trying to connect a Yatour YT-M06 to my SC-801 unit without success. It plugs right in to the cd changer slot behind the stereo, and a yellow 12V cable which I joined to a cable running from the battery to a boost gauge.
I know very little about electricity except for connect cables and stuff should work heh.. I used a multi-meter and set it to BAT 9V, shoved the black one to a ground and the red one at the cable. It shows 11,47V in which I have no idea if its "yeah thats 12V" or "no it should read 12V".
The Yatour unit is compatible with the SC-801 per their website. But the SC-801 won't change from Radio to CD when CD is pressed. Tape won't work either but after some googling I found out that the modes won't engage if theres not anything connected, i.e no tape inserted.
Any suggestions? I just want my damn spotify to play through the OEM head unit.

I'll try to help you.
1. When properly connected, the LED on the Yatour YT-M06 should be lit.
2. If the LED is off. Check the power supply with a multimeter. Set the switch to the DC section. the limit is 20V. Permissible readings 10 ... 14v. If the power supply is within the specified limits, contact a specialist.
3. The LED is on but does not work. Format USB stick to Fat32. Create a folder called CD01, copy the music into it. Connect to Yatour YT-M06. If it works, turn off the USB stick, connect the aux to the phone. Should work. If it doesn't work, contact a specialist.
4. The CD button may need to be pressed twice.
Good luck.

Thank you, although I didn't really understand step 2. It does show 11.47v but is that the wrong setting? The cable has 11.47v while the battery has over 12v.Nikolaech wrote: ↑23 Jun 2022, 08:11 I'll try to help you.

The unit does not have any LED to show if it's on or off..
I will try using a USB stick first, I only tried with the AUX.

OK, so I tried your steps, and let me first say that just like your picture it doesn't have any LED, except for the text lol.
But yeah I formatted an 8GB USB stick to FAT32, created the folder and put in an MP3 file. And it did not change anything but as I write this follow up I realize I might've made the mistake to connect the 12V to the boost gauge light cable.. Which comes on with the rest of the interior light (3rd ignition click instead of the stereo coming on at 2nd click). But I don't know if it would even matter.

Most likely, either the car radio or Yatour is faulty.
But, both devices are very reliable.
To rule out any errors.
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Connect the Yatour connector to the output of the CD changer.
3. Connect the yellow wire of Yatour to the battery positive terminal.
4. Turn on the ignition, check the operation of Yatour.
If it doesn't work, contact a specialist. A little help for electronics. Drawn diagram of Volvo SC830. Perhaps this will help.
