That guy did a nice one again
I was having some idle issue, especially after driving, sometimes as high as 3k rpm.
Searched for a vacuum leak, changed a few things...
Today I finally realised the throttle body wasn't springing properly back home. At this point I knew
The unnamed guy put some shop towels in the intercooler during disassembly to avoid getting stuff in there, and forgot to remove one
Suddenly works a lot better

Yeah, I paid $11 to FCP and got the bulb. Perhaps it's a lot more expensive north of the border. I've got to spend my time repairing higher value parts like my CVVT solenoid.
Looks smart with those white wheels. If I look very closely, I can almost see the C70 frame brace.

I realized a few days ago when it rained, that the Dodge Shadow wiper arms that I installed a few weeks ago weren't working right.
They seemed way loose. Messed around with it for awhile, but I couldn't see what the problem was; son looks at it, pops some plastic part out of the blade and reassembles it all. Like in 30 sec ! All done, and I gained the additional 1" on the wiping field on the passenger side I wanted.
However ( there's always a catch ), the drivers side arm makes contact with the underside of the hood edge when It's straight up and down. I hadn't noticed this before, so it's not so straight forward of a modification as I thought. Took about and hour of peening and filing to get it to where it clears.
On the plus side, the blades can be changed out with the hood closed, just like on the stock arms.

You don't have to feel bad about that one, I hear about this happening VERY often. I haven't managed to do it myself. Yet...Goupil wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 12:25 That guy did a nice one again

Shiny new 9474483
Not cheap, but I couldn't have fabricated one out of flat plate for less, especially since bending heavy gauge stock to a precise angle is ...challenging. Couldn't find one used, neither could Robert, and Abscate hasn't dismantled any AWD P80s - except the S70 he's driving, and we shouldn't remind him he had it apart twice.

I've been trying to figure out how to make a C70 SF brace work with that bracket, but I'm too lazy to try to make it work. I think I'm going to wait until I put in a full FWD exhaust system, being that I have no AWD components left on my car.

It's great that the part is still available. I always wonder if some parts are in low demand so there's a supply of them waiting to be used up, but they'll never be made again. And I wonder if some parts which have no supply sit and gather back orders until there's enough demand to justify another production run. But that would be a low volume run requiring setup and tooling. So yeah, obtaining new parts for 20+ year old cars mystifies me. But I kind of want to buy a stockpile...
