Took the Kat out for a final test drive before going to daughter and it lost power on the highway.
Crept home at 20 mph, little throttle response.
No ETS light but feels like limp mode.
Will check fuel pressure and throttle positions in the morning

Fuel pressure check - showing high. Check took 10 minutes. No "Ive got fuel at the rail so I have fuel pressure" for me.
System stabilises about 70 psi after start. Fuel pressure develops slowly and bleeds quickly, but Im not sure bleed down spec is same for the AWD and FWD - they should not be as the fuel delivery system is completely different.
Confirmed gauge is ok with 50 psi reading on my ME7 1999 FWD
Car starts and drives well with good power this morning, this is pointing me to a Throttle body fault and limp explaining last night.

Isn't spec in the 40's or is that just the 850? Could you have a plugged return line.... assuming there is one. I know on my truck, I can hit 90psi really fast, if I plug the return line.
Is this a fly-by-wire system?Car starts and drives well with good power this morning, this is pointing me to a Throttle body fault and limp explaining last night.

It is indeed the first year of fly by wire.
I have a spare late model contactless Turbo ETB so I am getting close to pulling a swap.

That fuel pressure is high. Mine read in the high 60's psi when the dealer checked it after replacing the fuel and ejector pump units on the '00 V70R. So it is possible it may be that high. Only other possibility is you pinched a pipe refitting the fuel tank. As delivery pressure is good it would have to be on the return you would think. The return pipe runs onto the top of the tank on the front RH corner and then run all the way around the top rear to the front LH of the tank and then the connector pipe between the 2 sides. That front pipe is the most likely if any are caught or an issue with the pressure valve.
I don't think this is the fuel system thought. Feels more like the ETM unfortunately. Did you clean this when re-freshing everything? If not maybe a good clean of the throttle assembly might be in order before panicking!
I have a turbo ETM (the spare for the 'R') but it was from an 'R' so not sure if it is compatible even for a trial basis.
Neil.

Just took it for another slow speed spin around town and it drove for about 15 minutes, the limped, then came back
Very un-fuel pump like.
I’ve got a spare contactless turbo ETM, I’ll swap tomorrow

Well, this one made a complete fool of me. I drove around town just fine, but highway brought the same limp mode, then stranded me 1 mile from home.
My Albany Angel bailed me out, and I had a rare flash of insight realizing I had not qualified the fuel storage system In the Kat yet.
Sure enough m 3 gallons in the RH saddle tank , and she roared to life.
Cylinder 2 is missing so I’ll sort plugs and coils in the am, just put in new plugs
At the fill station, she took 10 gallons over 200 miles city driving, so I’m not getting access to 8 gallons on the Lh tank
I have a nice new turbo ETM late model contactless though!

You may not be getting any fuel pressure into the LH tank to move the fuel to the RH tank. As mentioned before, you may have trapped the transfer pipe when refitting or kinked it?
Does your fuel gauge show the correct amount of fuel?

I think that is what is happening, I doubt I kinked it, either the FPR isn’t FPRing or it’s plugged..
Ill live with it for now.
It was showing the correct amount based on the refill
