Ac evaporator large leak

Neil mentioned something about housing where evaporator and heater core are.

Can anybody confirm that evaporator section can be separated independently of heater core section on 850?

I ask this just in case that i couldn't be able to source Volvo o-rings for heater core.

The white plastic thing gets pulled out of the car, with or without the heater core, then you remove the shiny metal clips to expose the evaporator core

I am clearly wrong on this. You will have to remove the whole air box as I had forgotten about those clips on the rear against the firewall.

Heater core will have to come out.

I'm waiting for prices on Nissens or NRF evaporator from my AC shop specialist.

I still didn't managed to source heater core o rings.
That will be the biggest problem.

Thank you abscate...but that will arrive in Serbia in about 2 weeks.

We have one "new" Volvo dealership in Belgrade and will try with them.
I got vacuum tree,flame trap o rings and dipstick tube seal from them last year when i was replacing pcv system.

If you have exact measurements of a brand new o rings that would help a lot because we have some kind of o ring & seal shop 20km from my place.

They make and produce o rings for any applications and have some standard dimensions of o rings at stock.

Maybe i could get lucky with these.

This far i could only find 20x2.0mm and 20x3.0mm.

O ring master thread says 20x2.3mm for heater core o rings.

Will dig some more.
