I’m bad at screw clamps. Anybody use Oetiker clamps?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

It’s that and the consistency of assembly that make them the choice on new cars

They’re much faster to fasten compared to a screw clamp.

How do you easily remove an Oetiker clamp? I have to fight them with a flat head screwdriver. The results aren't pretty.

Great in assembly settings, like a factory.
Not so great in everyday real world settings. And not re-usable. Might as well use a zip-tie.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Zip ties get brittle with time (and heat).Do it right from the beginning and there will be no reason to revisit the problem again…
