I doubt the Europeans would be on board with that idea. It could never work.

Went into the WwF ring with an XC muffler. Couldn’t get the joint above the axle apart, so had to successively cut pieces off , starting with grinder, finishing with Sawzall. Not too bad labor wise but a lot of obnoxious metal chips.

Mounted up the twin mufflers, got hangers on, then puttied and installed rear pipe.

Connected to cat with 21/2 inch band clamp with putty. I like this over the stock Volvo snout connection which is hard to get tight on an old exhaust

Checked fit, then tightened both band clamp and over axle clamp. I might need a bit of tube buffer on the rear right hanger, close to frame.

I had great results using a replacement flange kit for the cat-to-muffler connection. I had tried solutions like yours on Jane for many years and they always quickly failed. This flange kit seems totally solid and worth the $100 parts and labor.

Next time you do this, I have some cinder blocks you can borrow.

That’s a great piece of kit. I’ll certainly look at that when this puppy fails. It is in 304 steeltoo, so hopefully I’ll get a few years.

AnLPT exhaust is 60 mm stock OD so I’ll need a 2 3/8 version in worldwide units of inches instead of the esoterica meters

This is definitely nicer looking. I'm a little confused why it has 2 mufflers and 1 actual outlet.

Yeah, I've always been confused by that. The AWDs are weird. Except the 2000 R, which got dual outlets.

I suppose you could always make your own exhaust outlet on that side.
